Good post and Sharon and her team certainly did a fantastic job, Dr Waltzer too, and Deborah Lipstadt with her blog up since December 2, 2007 on all this. I agree wholeheartedly with Sharon, above, where she writes:

There is more to come, yes, It aint over till the fat lady sings, as we say here in Taiwan. Go figure.

Excellent gumshork from Sharon and Colleen, and deep research by Ken and his team, nailed this story. Gabe, upon instructions from Waterboy Bloom, went ahead and nailed the story head-on with even more revelations. Good work, everyone, all around. Peter Kubicek in NYC, too, was invaluable here. So were the publishers whose stonewalling just made the entire thing laughable. Hint to publishers: next time, in hoax case, don't stonewall. Deal with issues right away. All this could have been avoided if the book execs and agent had answered their phone. They looked so guilty from the stonewalling that the egg on their face was visible even from far away Taiwan, where Waterboy Bloom is halfblind from diabetes with one foot in the grave already. But boy, this TEAM nailed it. Sad sad story, though, dealing with Holocaust stories, true or fake, is not a pretty picture and NOT enjoyable work. Onward....

Danny Bloom, an author of children's books in Taiwan, read Dr. Lipstadt's comments and took up the challenge after Angel Girl, the children's version, came out in September. He was instrumental in convincing the media that the story needed attention. He also contacted Identifinders knowing we had exposed Misha Defonseca.''

Actually, Danny never heard of Dr Lipstadt's posts on the Herman case until after he innocently read a newspaper AP story in his local expat rag in Taiwan that featured a photo of Herman and Roma and the cover of the children's book about them that they were promoting in Miami. Danny got to the part of a BLIND DATE, and he knew right then and there that this story was a cockamamie Oprah BS story for the gullible masses. THEN, he started looking around the net and found that is old pal Dr L was blogging about the Herman case, the emails, the chain letter, the Oprah shows, NOT the children's book or the upcoming memoir, and when he read Deb's blog that said .....all the way back in Dec. 2, 2007 that the story was definitely not true and beggared the imagination, unquote, well, on reading those words, Danny signed up to join the team, even though he was not always welcomed with open arms, and even now find himself shunned by Sharon and Colleen and Ken. Not Deb, though, she understands that Danny is the real McCoy. What does Dr Shrnk here think of all this? SMILE

DR KEN conveniently forgets to mention the media guy who brought the entire story to the attention of Gabe Sherman, against the express whishes of Sharon and Dr W.....why does he leave me out? Only PHDs can join his country club, no "Jews" allowed?

Since Oprah admitted today on her show and in an AP story from Chicago by AP reporter Jim Suhr, that Herman's lawyers advised him not to appear on her show anymore, due to poor health, physical as well as emotional, his lawyer is his brother in law in Miami, Harvey D. Rogers, so I am at this point, right now, stopping my previous camapaign to ask Oprah to invite Herman on her show for a forgiveness fest, but according to Oprah, on her show on Friday, she did issue an invitation to Herman to appear one more time, but his lawyer Harvey Rogers nixed it. So be it. So my earlier campaing is over, I was never married to it, I jsut wanted to create the discussion of forgiveness and the national discussion did happen. So end of story.

But, since Oprah is still leaving her website with the Herman and Roma story still online and UP on her website, -- WHY WHY? OPRAH WHY? -- I am retooling my blog above to ask Oprah to please take down that wall, of lies, now.

Why on Earth would she leave it up, if she knows the story is not true? Is Oprah thick now? No pun intended.

So the false memoir was converted into a script. Berkley dropped the book amid the scandal. So guess what? York House is going to release the book as a novel, apparently re-adapted from the script.
